Gentle, practical support for real emotional recovery
Someone who truly gets it.
Rubina brings something to therapy that can't be taught in a textbook — the lived understanding of what it means to move between cultures, carry impossible expectations, and still show up fully for the people you love.
With a Bachelor of Social Work from Rutgers University, a Master of Social Work from Capella University, and a Doctorate in Social Work currently underway, Rubina's clinical training is deep and continuously growing. She is also a CASAC Level 2 certified counselor — one of the more rigorous addiction counseling credentials available.
But credentials are only part of the picture. What her clients describe most often is simply this: she listens differently. She catches what you're not saying. She meets you in the spaces between words. And she never rushes the process.

Ways Rubina Can Help
Every person who walks in brings a different story.
Rubina doesn't use a single approach for everyone. She listens first — then builds the support around you, your background, and what you actually need.
Many people come here when they're not sure where to start. That's okay.
Individual Therapy
For anxiety, depression, identity, grief, life transitions, and the quiet exhaustion of always being the strong one. One-on-one sessions at a pace that is entirely yours.
Couples & Family Therapy
For relationships that still have love but have lost the language to express it. Rubina helps you find new ways to hear — and be heard — by the people who matter most.
Cultural Identity Therapy
For those navigating the space between the culture that raised them and the life they're living now. You don't have to translate yourself here. Rubina already understands.
Addiction & Recovery Support
As a CASAC Level 2 counselor, Rubina offers compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals and families touched by substance use — at every stage of the journey.
What Clients Say
Healing looks different for everyone.
The most honest thing about this work is that Rubina's clients speak for it better than any description could.
Reaching out is the whole first step.
There is no perfect moment to begin therapy. There is only the moment you decide that you matter enough to try. If something in this page has stayed with you — that's worth paying attention to.
Rubina's sessions are available in person in New York City, and virtually via a private, secure Zoom link. Wherever you are, the door is open.
You don't need to have the words ready. You don't need to know what to say. You just need to send the first message — and Rubina's team will take it from there with care.
